WALK CYCLES
There are any different types of walks. They can vary from bouncy large strides, tiny slow steps. There are also different angles to view walking from. The easiest is the basic side angle walk. One full stride can be accomplished with 8 frames.
Most important pose of your walk is the first pose. The first pose determines the rest of the sequence. It is often called the "contact" pose.
The 8 frames include 8 different stick figures. As you can see from the pictures above, the 8 stick figures are not in straight a line. Each stick figure has a different length. Some stick figures are taller, while others are shorter. This imitates the "bounce" that occurs when you are walking. Another detail that is different about each stick figure is there arm and leg positioning. These also imitate (more precisely) how our arms and legs change while walking. Your stick figures should be different, that way they show the fluidity and natural movements just like how someone would walk. Without change in arm and leg positioning our stick figure would look unnatural or like a robot. It is also very important to take into consideration the joints in your arms and legs!
