PIXILATION
DEFINITION: "a technique used in film whereby the movements of real people are made to appear like artificial animations."
Pixilation is a stop motion technique where live actors are used as a frame-by-frame subject in an animated film. The live actor is repeatedly posed while one or more frame is taken and changing the actors pose slightly before the next frame. The actor becomes a live stop motion puppet or object. It is often used as a way to blend live actors with animated ones in a film.
